Bustling Warehouse
Communication & Security
Most warehouses have an employee-only entrance as well as a delivery entrance. Employees access the warehouse using their access cards. If employees forgot their cards or if visitors arrived, there was no way to request entry other than by knocking. In a loud and bustling warehouse, knocking often went unheard.
Logistical challenges with inventory were also created when deliveries were missed because drivers, unable to gain entry, gave up on knocking and moved on to their next stop.
The solution is to install a video intercom at each entrance. Employees who forgot their access cards, visitors, and delivery drivers would then have an easy way to call for access. A bell and strobe light would be installed so that staff could easily notice incoming calls. The video door bell system allows staff to speak with callers to determine their needs before granting access.
